2025.08: How To Train Your Drone

Here were a few of our favorites from Stratechery Plus this week.

  1. Drones Are Coming For The Suburbs. It’s hard to isolate which specific part of this week’s interview with Manna Founder and CEO Bobby Healy was the most exciting; for me it was the revelation that Manna is currently delivering hot coffee in an average time of two minutes and forty seconds. That is incredible! Also, it was very cool to hear Healy describe how the Manna drones and drones from other companies can speak to each other to clear each others routes to avoid collisions. Companies like these fire me up, and I’m hoping for the continued success of the company and the industry. Daman Rangoola

  2. Crossover Fun. Ben and Bill Bishop got together to do a crossover Sharp Tech/Sharp China episode, and the timing could not be more perfect. With the news of DeepSeek’s capabilities, shifting political landscapes in the United States and globally, with the future of Taiwan hanging in the balance, there’s no better duo to flesh it out. — DR

  3. Don’t Call It a Comeback. It was great to have Andrew back from paternity leave for an episode of the Greatest of All Talk (and congratulations to him and his family). Ben Golliver and Andrew had a really well thought out discussion about the unfortunate news that Victory Wembanyama will be out for the remainder of this season, prematurely ending a fantastic second year campaign for the San Antonio Spurs. — DR
